New Entrance
When this church was built in the 1960’s, the thinking was much different. We were much younger people, of course we could do stairs! Two at a time! (Hey, I bet
Stan can do three!!) We still do stairs, but it would be nice to have a lift to take the chairs up to the sanctuary for the Christmas overflow crowd, or take the food down to the kitchen for our (famous) pot-lucks.
(Luck? - the kids tell me that it’s good management, being in the right place at the right time - only 2 or 3 behind the elders in the lineup...) Really, the food’s that good. Excuse me, I’m sposed to be writing
about the new entrance... Yes, that is as you can see it below, it will be in the new part of the Narthex, and will give us room for that lift I was talking about, for wheelchair access, lunch, chairs, lunch, moving
things around up and down between floors, lunch and ... oh well...
